Game animation is an important part of game design that involves assigning animation structures and commands to characters or object models created by game artists. Most video game design companies will require you to have a college degree in Game Animation or Computer Graphics. An experienced animator can earn $90,000 or more.

Game Animator/Model Rigger

Attaches animation structures or commands to models requiring movement within a game. Works with character and environment art assets to establish realistic animations that run efficiently without compromising visual quality.

Requirements: Must have a working knowledge of 3D computer art/3D animation software. Familiarity with computer art programs (such as PhotoShop®) and modeling software is also useful.
